Freud CollectionsDr. Freud, the founder of psychoanalysis, had another aspect as a collector, though this fact is not widely known. It is said that his passion of ancient art for archaeology had a great influence on establishing his psychoanalytic method. His pieces were collected from various areas, such as Egypt, Western Asia, Greek, Rome, and East Asia. MIKAZUKI, Japan's foremost commercial gallery for ancient art, is privileged to introduce 80 items from the collections as well as Freud memorabilia, by courtesy of the Freud Museum, London, in addition to its own exhibition of Archaeology and Fine Arts. |
