1970 Resides in Italy on a fellowship from the Italian government.
Studies under Professor Pericle Fazzini at the Academy of Arts in Rome.
Afterwards, sets up his studio in Pietrasanta, Toscana, a place known for its great marble quarries, and continues to work with marble and bronze sculptures.
