Kaketsuken M1 Building & New Headquarters Building
Kaketsuken M1 Building & New Headquarters Building

This project included the manufacturing facilities and administration building of an institute renowned for its world-leading accomplishments in the field of vaccine and blood-product research. The site contained many facilities built during the institute's 67-year history, and the two new facilities were designed in accordance with a master plan, which emphasized consistency with existing buildings and enhancing efficiency. The M1 Building (manufacturing facility) structure was designed to ensure superior flexibility and expandability for adapting to future changes, and achieves stringent cross-contamination prevention features and an air conditioning system ideal for the manufacturing environment. The New Headquarters Building is a state-of-the-art environment-friendly office, which utilizes an outer frame and eaves. The facility receives many visitors—including overseas guests—hence, particular attention was paid to the interior of the entrance and conference areas.
