Overseas Operations

Kajima has expanded its overseas real estate development operations over many years, principally in the regions of North America, Europe, and Asia. With respect to Asia, the Kajima Group is actively working to develop its real estate business in Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. The Company is proceeding cautiously with its Asian real estate development projects while giving due consideration to changes in currency exchange rates and other economic situations. Regarding the United States, the Kajima Real Estate Development, Inc., group is undertaking distribution warehouse development projects throughout the U.S. mainland and building a solid position among companies in that business field. In Hawaii, Kajima has developed and is managing the Hualalai Resort, which features a Four Seasons Hotel, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, high-end condominiums, and other amenities. This resort has earned a solid reputation, and the Federation Internationale des Administrateurs de Biens Conseils Immobilières (FIABCI) honored the resort with its 1999 Prix d' Excellence award in the leisure category. In Europe, Kajima is engaged in real estate development activities in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. The Company is primarily focusing on office development projects, and its Stockley Business Park development near London's Heathrow Airport has been widely acclaimed as Europe's top business park. Overseas Development Business : The Hualalai Resort This resort is located on an approximately 700-acre site near Kona Airport in Hawaii. The first stage of the project includes a Four Seasons Hotel with 243 cottage-type guest rooms, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, approximately 300 luxury condominiums and housing lots, a sports club, a general store, and other facilities. | Previous |
