North America

In 2014, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our establishment in the United States. Originally a single entity intended to provide Kajima a local presence in the United States, since the turn of the 21st century, many other U.S. companies with specific areas of expertise and strengths in various regions have joined the KUSA Group through mergers and acquisitions.
Each individual business unit engaged in construction and real estate development has become a top player in its particular field with each providing high-quality, high value-added services. Furthermore, the synergies generated by these business units combining their respective areas of expertise have enabled us to provide unique services our competitors are unable to match and it is through these endeavors that we continue to grow.
Going forward, we will continue to actively diversify our revenue sources in both the construction and real estate development businesses according to market conditions.

Southeast Asia

Starting with Indonesia in the 1960s, we are currently engaged in a wide variety of building construction projects in eight countries (Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, India, and Myanmar). We are also engaged in a wide range of real estate development projects including offices, hotels, rental housing, and commercial facilities in seven countries (Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar).
Kajima Asia Pacific Holdings (KAP) has two strengths:

  • A Japanese company with solid business foundations that expanded into Asia early on and accumulated a track record in construction and real estate development, and
  • Bilateral collaboration with the Kajima Technical Research Institute, Real Estate Development, Civil Engineering, and the Engineering and Interior Division of Kajima, which is based in Singapore.

Going forward, we will continue to challenge ourselves to meet the different needs of Asian markets by leveraging Kajima's collective strengths.


Kajima’s activities in Europe began with the construction of the Berlin Grand Hotel in 1976 and expanded our business in Western Europe throughout 1980s and 90s. Now, Our HQ for Kajima Europe is based in London where there are two core business units – the real estate business unit and the PFI business unit covering the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, and Germany. In addition, we are also developing an Asset Management (AM) business which leverages our accumulated experiences Kajima also entered the Central European market and opened the Poland, Warsaw Office in 2001 and the Czech, Prague Office in 2002. In the time since, we have been engaged in mainly construction projects for manufacturing and logistics facilities, offices, and commercial complexes.


In Oceania, we established Kajima Australia Pty. Ltd. (KA) in 2015 to acquire Icon, a local company that specializes in residential apartments, and Cockram, a company with expertise in constructing medical/welfare, educational, cultural, and manufacturing facilities. We are now able to offer construction and real estate development services throughout Australia and New Zealand. We will build a unique business platform by effectively combining the construction and development functions of the Kajima Group in this region, which has enormous potential for growth.


Kajima has a long history in Taiwan. In the 19th century, we set up a regional office and participated in infrastructure projects including railways, power plants, and bridges. In 1983, we established a local subsidiary, Chung-Lu Construction Co., Ltd. After more than 100 years of experience, we are currently engaged in construction work in a wide range of fields, including offices and condominiums for many local and international companies. We continue to be a leading company that is trusted by clients in Taiwan by leveraging Kajima's comprehensive technical capabilities and overall strength.


Kajima opened an office in Beijing in 1985 and followed this by establishing a local subsidiary in 2003. We have since acquired a first-class construction license which is the highest qualification attainable as a foreign-owned construction company. With our headquarters in Shanghai, we are expanding our business throughout China.
In particular, we focus on providing design build services for manufacturing facilities such as pharmaceutical and food processing plants which require highly advanced construction technologies and/or complex building specifications.
In addition, we provide a variety of services tailored to clients’ needs, such as design and construction consultation. Our aim is to grow together with China and become the preeminent brand in this fast-growing nation.
