Roles and Functions
Kajima’s Overseas Operations Division is based at its Tokyo headquarters. The division plans and promotes broad policies and important measures for construction and real estate development businesses in overseas markets. It also provides support for the supervision and guidance of overseas subsidiaries. The Overseas Operations Division consists of the Office of Corporate and Legal Affairs, the Planning & Administration Department, the Building Construction Department, the Real Estate Development Department, and the New Market Planning Office, and each fulfills the following functions:
Office of Corporate and Legal Affairs
Overseas secretarial business, public relations, overseas litigation and M&A
Planning and Administration Department
Business Planning for entire Overseas Operations, General Affairs, Human Resources, Accounting and Legal Affairs
Building Construction Department
Manage and support overseas construction projects and business development activities
Real Estate Development Department
Examines project plans, provides support and guidance for overseas development projects
New Market Planning Office
Market research, feasibility studies and planning for entry into new markets
Providing Optimal Solutions in Cooperation with Overseas Subsidiaries
Kajima’s Overseas Operations Division is responsible for promoting cooperation among overseas subsidiaries in the U.S.A., Europe, Asia, Oceania and elsewhere through regular communication with each office and by disseminating Kajima Japan's various technologies and expertise.
In response to requests for advice from overseas subsidiaries, the Overseas Operations Division serves as a hub which aims to go beyond the static framework consisting of "overseas subsidiaries" or of "headquarters and branches" to create a more flexible structure that offers optimized solutions.
In recent years, the number of overseas clients that Kajima has served in various regions of the world that are establishing businesses in Japan has also increased allowing Kajima Corporation to fully leverage its comprehensive strengths.
