This leading-edge plant produces multiple drug substances used in clinical trials up to the initial commercial phase in the shortest possible time. The facility boasts a low operational load due to compact equipment arranged in a rational layout and the efficient and automated material flow lines. The elaborate drug manufacturing plant is constructed following the BCP on a base isolation structure adopting a frame with minimum deformation potential. In addition, a visitors’ passage looking over the production line and a multipurpose space is provided on the middle floor making full use of the floor height for the whole building to be utilized for diverse interaction. By harmonizing a flexible environment to produce innovative ideas within the framework of the architecture enveloping advanced technology, a new plant with durability and variability is realized that supports the innovation of drug development in its early phases.
