Tiger Beach—on Okinawa’s main island—is located in Onna Village, near the center of the west coast. It boasts idyllic sea views and lush flora. The Hotel Monterey brand chose this treasured setting for its first resort development. It features a 339-room hotel on the approach side of the property, and an outdoor pool and chapel in the garden area, within the resort’s private zone. The 240m-long, beach-facing hotel has guest rooms on upper floors—all with ocean views—while the main lobby, restaurants, spa, indoor pool, aesthetic salon and other amenities occupy the lower floors. The hotel interior adopts the British Colonial style, in keeping with the Monterey brand’s core image. The focal point of the garden area is a fan-shaped wave pool, with various small, low-rise facilities dispersed in the surrounding gardens, providing an attractive resort landscape.
