Bit-isle 5th Data Center
Bit-isle 5th Data Center

Anticipating the era of cloud computing and rapidly expanding market needs, the client’s plans called for a speedy launch of operations at the new facility. As a cutting-edge, urban green data center, the design of the building needed to be high performance and dignified. Included are such features as a base-isolation system; an integrated twin-floor system for external-air-based cooling; a superior external design featuring precast concrete tiling; and a greenery plan that provides both harmony with the surrounding area and user friendliness. Underpinned by the aforementioned air conditioning system and other high-efficiency elements, the center achieves a Japan Data Center Council power usage effectiveness ratio of 1.42. With advanced energy-saving performance, it has received the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s top business-site certification. The building, understated in its role as part of Japan’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, exudes an assured sense of presence.
