The eight selected works are a collection of unique pieces, each featuring creative and innovative design. Among the eight selected works, one was created by an artist in their 30s, six by artists in their 40s, and one by an artist in their 60s, highlighting the rise of artists in their 40s.
The final judge was a difficult process this time as well, with many highly accomplished masterpieces gathered for the final round of judging.
Mr. Yamamoto’s Gold Prize-winning work was recognized for its powerful presence, which draws the viewer in while evoking the relationship between a dog as a pet and the human who cares for it, all while demonstrating a keen awareness of how the piece interacts with the surrounding space and architecture. We would like to add that the works that unfortunately did not win prizes were all attractive in terms of form, as well as innovative in their attempts to create something new.
All of the prize winners, selected works and selected maquette works will be publicly displayed at the KAJIMA KI Building Atrium from Saturday March 28th through Friday April 17th, 2026. Some of selected works and selected maquette works will be also exhibited at Astohall (Izumiotsu City, Osaka Prefecture) from Wednesday April 29th through Thursday May 14th, 2026.
