The laboratories are seismically and vibration isolated, thus not influenced by miscellaneous vibrations that arise outside.
Features
- In the Reverberation Room, acoustic characteristics of sound-absorption materials can be evaluated and transmission loss of sound-insulation materials can be measured.
- The Anechoic Chamber, in addition to its capacity for evaluating reflection characteristics of various materials, can be used for audition of sound-field simulation (sound-field prediction system after completion) results for concert halls and studios. Experiments can also be conducted for predicting noise transmission using modeled buildings.
- What is most distinguishing about these laboratories is that sound-radiation characteristics can be evaluated by connecting the Anechoic Chamber and Reverberation Room.
