Kajima Foundation holds the Grant Presentation Ceremony for FY2024
On March 21, 2024, the Kajima Foundation (Chairperson: Kimiko Kajima) held the Grant Presentation Ceremony for FY2024 at the Kajima KI Building (Minato-ku, Tokyo) to present grants to the recipients of research grants and support projects it had selected. Since its establishment in 1976, the Foundation has been supporting academic research activities by offering grants with the goal of promoting the academic development of Japan and international academic exchanges.
The General Research Grants, the purpose of which is to support research activities in areas such as the development and improvement of urban and housing environments, effective utilization of land and other resources, disaster prevention and crisis management, and preservation of cultural and natural environments, were offered to 45 recipients. The Research Grants for Specific Theme, which had been established in the previous fiscal year to support cross-disciplinary/interdisciplinary research proposed by a group of researchers from a wide range of fields on specific themes specified by the Foundation, were presented to four recipients. Additionally, the Foundation provided support for research exchange, international joint research activities, and international research meetings to 9, 14, and 21 recipients, respectively. In total, ¥215,850,000 worth of grants and other support were provided to 93 recipients.
