Basic Policy

Kajima Group’s basic approach to sustainability is to address social and environmental issues and strive to become a sustainably growing corporate group under the corporate philosophy of “As a group of individuals working together as one, we pursue creative progress and development founded on both rational, scientific principles and a humanitarian outlook, through which we strive to continually advance our business operations and contribute to society.”

Promotion System

Sustainability Committee

Kajima has the Sustainability Committee in place to consider, decide upon, and monitor the progress of the group-wide sustainability effort policy.

The Committee is chaired by the President, and Committee members include relevant executive officers. For themes such as global environmental issues, people and social issues including the securing of diverse human resources, respect for human rights, and supply chain management, the Committee, while taking into consideration social trends, checks on the progress of the roadmap. Furthermore, it discusses and submits a report covering the policy on how to address the issues, and communicates this to external stakeholders.

The deliberation agenda at Sustainability Committee meetings is submitted and reported regularly to the Board of Directors to ensure appropriate supervision of the Committee by the Board.
