Donated emergency food stockpile to Donald McDonald House Sendai

  • Community support
As part of its CSR activities, Kajima regularly donates food stockpiled for disaster relief. Following a routine replacement of its disaster relief supplies, Kajima's Tohoku Branch recently donated surplus food to Donald McDonald House Sendai ("Sendai House"), an accommodation facility for families with children undergoing medical treatment.

Sendai House requested this donation through the Kiwanis Club of Sendai, Inc., a private sector international volunteer organization of which the Tohoku Branch is a member. A total of 744 food items, including Magic Rice and Hidamari Bread, were donated in two batches on June 10 and 14. These food items will be used as emergency provisions for families who are far from home while their children receive medical care.
