On August 6 and 7, 2024, Kajima held the English Job Challenge 2024 program, hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education. The program was designed to give Tokyo Metropolitan high school students an opportunity to use English in practical settings, reflect on their career paths, and develop both a global outlook and stronger motivation to study English.

Nine high school students with a strong interest in English and aspirations for a global career took part. The program was conducted entirely in English by employees with overseas experience. On the first day, participants attended a lecture on the construction industry and Kajima at the Nishi-Chofu Experimental Hall of the Kajima Technical Research Institute (Chofu City, Tokyo). They then toured facilities including the Large-Scale Structural Testing Building and the Vibration Testing Building, followed by an online roundtable with staff at The GEAR, the Institute's Singapore office. On the second day, members of the Overseas Operations Division delivered a lecture at Kajima's Head Office in Minato-ku, Tokyo, focusing on the company's international business. In the discussion session, employees with experience working in the United States, the United Kingdom, Southeast Asia, and other regions answered a wide range of student questions—covering the realities of working abroad, ways to communicate across cultural and linguistic differences, and effective methods for studying English.

Over the two days, students shared many impressions. One remarked, "I learned both the challenges and rewards of working abroad." Another commented, "I now feel more motivated to study English so that I can pursue a career overseas in the future."
