Accepted Participants from the Business Training for School Teachers Program

  • Education for the next generation

On August 8 and 9, 2024, Kajima hosted the Business Training Program for School Teachers, organized by the Keizai Koho Center. The program is part of broader efforts to promote dialogue between business and education, and this marked the 16th time Kajima has taken part. From 2020 to 2022, participation was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, nine mid-career teachers from public elementary and junior high schools in Shinagawa, Tokyo, took part.

During the two-day program, participants toured the Kajima Technical Research Institute in Chofu and visited construction sites to gain insights into our latest technologies and practical initiatives. At the Kajima Technical Center in Tsurumi, Yokohama, they received an overview of the facilities from the General Manager and exchanged views on human resource development and workstyle reform.

The teachers shared their impressions, commenting: "Digitalization is advancing, and my image of the construction industry has changed." "I want to share with my students the cutting-edge technologies I encountered at construction sites and the Research Institute." "I was impressed by the extensive training facilities and HR development programs." "It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on my own workstyle."

Going forward, Kajima will continue to host this program as part of its social contribution to support education for the next generation.
