Kajima sponsored the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2025, held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, where young engineers compete using robot technology.

This contest was held in Mongolia on August 24, 2025, under the auspices of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), with 14 teams that had advanced through the qualifying rounds from 13 countries and regions across Asia competing in intense matches. The venue, ASA Arena in Ulaanbaatar, is a stadium operated by former yokozuna Asashoryu.

From Japan, the University of Tokyo, which won the NHK College Student ROBOCON 2025 in June, competed in the contest. With the message "Challenge & Changing," Kajima supported these students in their efforts to contribute to the future development of the Asia-Pacific region.

Because basketball is such a popular sport in the host country, Mongolia, the competition featured a "robot basketball" event. Each team operated two robots and competed for points while switching between offense and defense. In the competition, the national teams showcased a wide variety of uniquely designed robots that could pass, dribble, shoot three-pointers, and even do slam dunks as they engaged in intense matches that highlighted teamwork, technical skill, and strategy.

The Kajima Award was presented to Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya of Indonesia for its effective coordination between the two robots. In the final, the University of Tokyo team representing Japan won the championship by defeating Hong Kong with a come-from-behind slam dunk.
