This is a multi-use development project consisting of 179 condominiums, a childcare facility, shops, restaurants, medical clinics and other commercial facilities, as well as office space. The idea was not to have separate buildings for different functions, but to focus on creating a community in which different types of people can gather. The planned location is a seven-minute walk from Yokohama Station, on the last remaining waterfront site in the portside district.
The project consists of a 29-story tower building using super RC frame construction technology, a four-story, steel-frame building, and a connecting colonnade deck. Reflecting a local Arts and Design Community Development Agreement, artworks by four artists working in collaboration with local residents are scattered throughout the public areas of the facility, creating a people-friendly open space where residents and visitors can enjoy art as they carry out community activities.
