This reconstruction project marks the 30th anniversary of the school, which has a total of 1,200 students. The new building will consolidate the junior and senior high schools, library and staff offices to improve teaching efficiency and promote student-teacher interaction.
Located at the foot of a mountain, the campus will enjoy greenery, natural light and breezes. Since the site is in a nature preservation zone, building height is restricted to 10m, so we designed a three-story structure. To ensure that the classrooms are free of visible beams, we will use a fiber-reinforced composite floor with a slab containing prestressed concrete steel wires, and built-in facilities, including exposed lighting, to achieve a floor height of 3,200mm and ceiling height of 2,950mm.
Students proffered ideas through a New School Ideas Project, so that they would feel part of the reconstruction process.
