The unit comprising the façade is a composite panel combining an outer sash and inner sash on a pre-cast concrete slab, which provides excellent thermal and acoustic barrier properties as well as fire retardant performance. The air layer between the inner and outer sashes also utilizes airflow to realize a comfortable environment inside the building. These features help to communicate the client’s corporate identity focused on “integrated technologies.” The outer sash is fixed directly onto the pre-cast concrete slab, meaning the design realizes a large glass face and minimal sash aspect width. Through the contrast created with the concrete face, whose aggregate has a pale green ground finish, the building achieves a light yet sharp level of expressiveness.
