The investigational product manufacturing facility located in a biopharmaceutical research center. In response to the rapidly evolving trend of new drug development in the biotechnology field, the goal was a swift construction process of the facility, which has the flexibility to be later adapted to develop a different product in the shortest possible time. Under the “Ballroom Concept,” a facility configuration that installs equipment for multiple processes in one space and carries out production, three different manufacturing areas are aligned in a large column-free space. The building structure based on the standardized building method, structure and MEP(mechanical /electrical / plumbing) system above the ceiling that can be divided into smaller units, and modularized panels for interior and MEP are all integrated as a hybrid modularized system. This project embodies a new experiment that goes beyond the conventional concept of facility configuration.
