This is an office building in the Nihonbashi district of central Tokyo. The architecture of the edifice, with its three road-facing sides, aspires to give it a prominent place in this historical location. The structure's high utility is thanks to its maximum footprint and 18-meter length, while the meticulously proportioned glass facade creates a strong impression and avoids arbitrariness that might detract from the area's existing atmosphere.
Natural light, penetrating through the full-height aperture, enhances the building's visual expansiveness and creates a feeling of serenity. The atmosphere of the entrance lobby and rest area—bathed in soft, natural light on the north-facing side—seeps out to the surrounding streetscape, providing an architectural space that elicits a comfortable interface with the city and office workers. The black and white tones combine to make it the ultimate mid-sized office building.
