This school gymnasium was envisioned as a new centerpiece for the campus that would be in harmony with the lush natural surroundings and leave a lasting impression on visitors. The gentle curve of the roof, the frontal facade with part of the second floor protruding outward, and the angled approach to the first floor entrance create a design that is both strikingly emblematic and welcoming to visitors. The glass curtain wall of the frontal facade provides an openness not usually found in gymnasiums. The main arena offers ample space for a variety of official competitions, and is equipped with air conditioning that allows for its use as an auditorium. The steel arch string structure gives the building a light and airy feel. The second floor sub-arena can be used as a martial arts dojo (training venue) or assembly hall.
