This is a project for a major sanitary products manufacturer constructing their domestic factory for the first time in 26 years. With the aim of expanding the domestic production base, it is a facility that also functions as the ASEAN headquarters and a base for exporting diapers and sanitary products to the entire Southeast Asia. The office building faces the main road to Kitakyushu Airport, and the large opening on the second floor is the feature of the exterior. The factory building is a smart factory with cutting-edge functions compliant with automated production, rearrangeable with flexible planar and structural spans, and provides a facility design with excellent energy-saving and maintenance performances. Along the visitors’ path around the facility, demonstrations of corporate strategy and social initiatives are presented to appeal to the public broadly, and the landscaping and interior signages are designed utilizing the corporate identity motif (Charm Ring and Charm Wave).
