To mark its centenary, House Foods embarked on a project to integrate and rebuild its head office. The project’s completion coincided with a move to a new holding company structure. The building promotes enhanced linkage among corporate divisions, and ensures flexibility and adaptability to organizational changes. The building is designed to provide a high level of interior comfort and reduce the environmental footprint. Its design features an office ceiling design combining ductless air conditioning and indirect lighting. The eastern exterior face capitalizes on the view and natural sunlight by using vertical louvers to provide an appropriate level of shade, while the northern and southern faces are windowless earthquake-resistant walls. The western wall comprises a façade with narrow slit openings. The large roof covering the entire structure integrates each façade, symbolizing the company’s commitment to partnership with the surrounding community.
