Mazda Powertrain Manufacturing (Thailand) Transmission Plant
Mazda Powertrain Manufacturing (Thailand) Transmission Plant

Mazda Powertrain Manufacturing(Thailand) Co., Ltd. transmission plant in the city of Chonburi, Thailand, occupies a lot of approximately 200,000m2. The site comprises a lawn square along a road frontage, an office block, and behind that the factory and a vacant space for future development. The 220m-long square production area concentrates the equipment room into a mezzanine-floor mechanical tube, assuring flexibility. The design achieves energy savings and ensures comfort through a range of environment-friendly features, including a ventilation system that can cope with oil mist, as well as natural lighting and ventilation. The office block has deep eaves and colonnades that create a semi-external corridor space and the feel of traditional Thai architecture. This also reduces exposure to the strong tropical sun and rain, while enabling fresh air to circulate. The handsome exterior serves as a focal point for the local area.
