Based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, I lead our US marketing and business development team and handle inbound manufacturing projects. With more than $7B in located and constructed projects in the US, Asia, and Europe, I have significant global economic development connections and experience helping multi-national corporations with the design and construction of new or expanding manufacturing projects.

What services can you provide to our clients?

Kajima Building & Design Group services include Design, Engineering, Site Selection Support and Planning, Design-Build, Construction Management, General Contracting, Program/Project Management, Pre-Construction, Process Installation, and LEED Certification. For 58 years, Kajima Building & Design Group has been designing and constructing manufacturing, distribution/supply chain, food and beverage, mission critical and interiors projects in the United States. With Offices strategically located in Atlanta, New Jersey, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Cincinnati; KBD Group has the financial and technical capability required for any project.

What is your message to clients?

The goal of Kajima is to help our clients take their ideas from conception to completion. We recognize that this can be intimidating, especially when doing a project in another country. Our team has global experience and is dedicated to ensuring that our clients are educated and comfortable with our solutions. Kajima and our team members are uncompromising in our commitment to our clients, quality, communication, personal and professional integrity.

Why did you join Kajima?

I had worked with Kajima in a previous job. The Kajima integrity was something I came to admire over the course of multiple projects. Kajima employees chose to do the right thing, even when it was a challenge. I had great respect for Kajima and the fact that the company has been in business for 180 + years is a testament to this trait. When I was considering a job change, Kajima was my first choice.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

Primarily, I would like to see Kajima’s global operations grow and lead our global development team. My plan is to stay with Kajima until retirement and spend my remaining years with family and continuing my life-long passion for travel, learning about the culture of the countries I visit.

I am Sandra Wróblewska, Senior Business Development Manager at Kajima Poland. My job is to run our marketing activities, to help Kajima generate new business, and to take care of the relationships with our existing clients, while demonstrating to new clients why Kajima is the right solution for them. Taking into account the scope of my role, I have to be active on both the construction and real estate property markets.

What services can you provide to our clients?

I communicate with our clients on the progress of their projects, coordinating with colleagues in other departments. I meet all our clients on a regular basis to see how Kajima might help them with any new projects they are considering and making sure that Kajima is invited to take part in upcoming tender processes. I keep an eye on market trends and gather information that I can share with our clients. I also like to bring parties together where I see the potential for new business for them.

What is your message to clients?

My message to clients is clear: Kajima combines Japanese know-how and conscientious devotion to technical excellence and client satisfaction with Polish drive and enthusiasm to deliver their projects on time, within budget and with high quality. Kajima is committed to technical excellence and is at the forefront of sustainability. Kajima is with them for the long term and seeks to build long term relationships. We listen, understand what the client needs, and deliver solutions that meet their objectives as well respecting the environment in which we build, and the people who work with us, for us, and use our buildings.

Why did you join Kajima?

I joined Kajima because I wanted to be part of an international group so that I could develop my own knowledge and experience as well as learn the best international business practices and standards. Kajima has some of the world’s leading brands as clients and joining Kajima has enabled me to meet many impressive people. I had the opportunity to create a new department and to strengthen Kajima’s profile in the local market. Having had the opportunity to contribute to Kajima’s success in this way has given me great satisfaction and has been, and remains, a challenge which I relish.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

My goals for the future are to build on what I have achieved so far and to advance my career with more responsibility and more senior management roles. I have learned much at Kajima, and there is always more to learn, so I wish to keep on learning, developing my business skills, and continue making a significant contribution to the success of Kajima’s business.

I bring more than 30 years of in-depth project management experience and vast knowledge of the construction industry. As Senior Project Manager I am responsible for the proposal management and preconstruction on major building projects. I have extensive background in project planning, design development, and construction over a variety of industry sectors including residential high rises, hospitality, medical, and industrial.

Kajima Corporation is an internationally renowned Engineering Contractor with an exceptional reputation. Their strong presence in the United States, with a combination of Japanese, foreign as well as domestic clients presented a unique career opportunity. I started with Kajima Construction Services (KCS West) in the Western Region, Los Angeles office nearly 30 years ago. There I was able to apply my English & Japanese bilingual skills, working on a variety of construction projects for both Japanese and domestic clients throughout North America and abroad. In 2022, I relocated to Hawaii to work for Kajima USA’s subsidiary company, Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

The construction industry has evolved tremendously over the past several years. It is no longer a practice solely focused on the physical building of the project but requires the comprehensive management and delivery of the entire process that takes place prior to construction, during construction, turnover, and its aftercare. Advancing technologies have also played a significant role in the industry. A goal of Hawaiian Dredging is to continue the development of its inhouse delivery processes and technologies to remain on the forefront of Hawaii’s construction industry, applying these innovations to improve efficiencies, enhance workflow, and deliver the most progressive services to our clients.

As the General Manager/Business Development of Kajima Overseas Asia, Ltd. (KOA), a holding company of Kajima’s construction business in Southeast Asia, I oversee and manage business development activities for eight countries (Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, India, and Myanmar).

What services can you provide to our clients?

Countries within the KOA region are diverse in their origins, cultures, and languages. While KOA's experience, track records, and services in each country may not all be the same, we provide a wide range of services, from assistance during the feasibility study phase of a construction project to post-completion, maintenance and more.
It is difficult to know what you can consult with a construction company. How to find a suitable site? What is the procedure for reviewing building plans? What are the local construction conditions and regulations? etc. Please feel free to contact us anytime.

What is your message to clients?

A construction project does not end with the handover. After KOA's role is completed, our clients can still use the facility for a long time afterward. KOA is ready to provide seamless services from the feasibility study stage to the design, construction, and post-completion stages. We, the Kajima Group, are rooted in each region of the world and value horizontal communication among its local subsidiaries, with the Overseas Operations Division of Kajima Corporation as the starting point. We would like to support clients with the best system and solutions utilizing our global network.

Why did you join Kajima?

I became interested in Official Development Assistance at university. I had a vague idea that one day I would like to work overseas. Gradually, this became a concrete desire, and I decided to join Kajima to be involved in social infrastructure development supported by the Japanese government and in supporting the construction projects of multinational companies, including Japanese companies, as well as local companies in various countries.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

Many of KOA's clients are engaged in global corporate activities not only in their respective countries but also in large markets in Southeast Asia, Asia Pacific, and other regions. In recent years, KOA has also been working to expand its business by enhancing corporate value and competitiveness through efforts to solve social issues represented by the 17 international goals for sustainable development (Sustainable Development Goals) adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015.

I am the leader of the sales group in charge of local clients. I support the smooth progress of the project by coordinating and communicating with the various departments within the company to ensure that the client is comfortable with the project, from the initial contact to the presentation of the estimated cost, contract procedures, follow-up during construction, and after-sales service after completion and delivery of the project.

What services can you provide to our clients?

Taiwan is an earthquake-prone country like Japan, so we often introduce the latest Japanese technology to our Taiwanese clients. Before the Covid disaster, we received many requests to visit Kajima's sites in Japan, including the Kajima Technical Research Institute. We are striving to introduce Kajima's cutting-edge technology to Taiwan so that we can provide safe and secure buildings and meet our clients' expectations in terms of construction schedule and quality through optimal construction management.

What is your message to clients?

CHUNG-LU Construction is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kajima. While rooted in the local community, we always provide global services to our Taiwanese clients under the technical guidance of Kajima. We also strive to offer reasonable prices that are competitive with major local general contractors.

Why did you join Kajima?

I majored in Japanese at university and wanted to work for a Japanese company. I had heard that Kajima had been involved in many infrastructure projects in Taiwan since before World War II, so I wanted to join the company. I am proud to know that Kajima constructed a section of the MRT line that I now use every day for commuting.

What are your plans or goals for the future?

To spread the word about CHUNG-LU Construction, we place importance on interacting with people from various industries. We promote the Kajima brand in various situations so that the younger generation (second and third generation) of influential companies will recognize it. We would like to make efforts so that our clients will think,
"I am glad to have worked with CHUNG-LU" and "I would like to ask the Kajima Group to do business not only in Taiwan but also in our overseas offices".
