A commissioner, operation director, and general managers from WIKA came to Japan, and visited Kajima's dam sites and technical research institute from August 27 to 29, 2018.
Kajima made a technical alliance with WIKA, the largest state-owned construction company in Indonesia, in July 2017. We plan to cooperate with WIKA in their establishing technical research institute in Indonesia, using our technical expertise in civil engineering field. This time, we carried out a training seminar focusing on dam projects for twenty five managers of WIKA.
On the 1st and 2nd day, we took WIKA's managers to our on-going dam projects of the Oitagawa dam in Oita prefecture and the Koishiwaragawa dam in Fukuoka prefecture, as well as the Gokayama dam in Fukuoka prefecture that we completed in March, 2018. A lot of in-depth questions about construction management and safety management at the dam sites were raised from them.
On the 3rd day, we took them to the "Kajima Seisho Test and Practice Field" in Kanagawa prefecture, our new experiment facility where we conduct actual-scale verification tests of our newest construction technologies including automation of construction machineries, and demonstrated our next generation construction production system called "A4CSEL". Active questions and constructive opinions about the possibility of deploying "A4CSEL" in overseas projects indicated WIKA's high interest in automation technologies.
Finally, the three-day seminar finished by introducing to them our most advanced experiment facilities in Kajima Technical Research Institute in Tokyo.
Kajima will accelerate technical cooperation and build a better relationship with WIKA.
